  1. The Car of Farm Animals.
    9th November 38
    The animals at home are cows, calves, pigs, a horse an ass a foal and a sow.
    The cows have all names. Theire names are Pollie, Bawny, Broad Horns, Long legs and the Jersey cow. When we are brining the cows home out of the fields we say "Bail up Bail up". There are three stakes at each end of the byre and two groups. The cows are tied to stakes. They are tied by the neck. The tyings are made of chains. They are not home made. Some tyings are called bails and chains and stakes. There is nothing hung in the cow house at any time. Some people milk the first milking on the ground for the fairies. There is one horse at home and we are keeping a foal for another horse. The stable is big and there is a manager at
