    The measels:
    Boil nettles and drink the juice.
    A burn:
    1st cure: Boil fern roots and mix the juice with linseed oil and chalk and apply the mixture to the burn.
    2nd cure: If a person licks a mankeeper that person is said to the cure for a burn on his tounge.
    The mumps:
    A person would put on an ass's halter on the child suffering from the mumps and lead him, three times round a pig-stye with no other building attached to it While doing so the would say some words. There words are not know at the present time. This was supposed to cure the mumps.
