    Old Houses
The old houses of years ago were built with clay walls and they had thatched roofs; the roofs were thatched with heather and rushes and very few of them were thatched with straw.
Some of the old houses are standing to-day but most of them have fallen and some of the have been burnt. Some of them were whitewashed outside and inside.
Most of the old houses were built on the side of the road.

  2. My Home District.
The name of our townland is Mount Seaton and the parish is Kilbride and the Barony is Scarawalsh.
There is only one family in the townland. Since our house was built no other people ever lived in it except Greenes; it is not a very old house and it is slated.
There are no old people living in our house; they do not know Irish.
