    A stitch in time saves nine.
    Small children are better seen not heard.

    A March wind would split your shin

    Strike the iron while it is hot.
    A new broom sweeps clean.
    Willful waste makes woeful want.
    A friend in need is a friend indeed.
    Better to live in hopes than to die in despair
    Pearls are unlucky, they cause tears.
