    Weather Lore
The birds and animals are able to give some idea when it is going to rain.
When swallows are flying low it is going to rain, and when they are flying high it is going to be fine.
Wild Geese go to the bog of Allen for fine weather, and they fly to the south of Wexford for wet weather.
When the seagulls are flying around in a circle, then there is a storm on the sea.
When crows squeak going to their nest it is going to be wet.
When you can hear the train roaring it is the sign of frost.
When smoke is going straight up into the air out of the chimney of a house it is going to be fine.
