Oh, as I roamed out one evening it being in the month of May.

    Song.

    (1)
Oh, as I roamed out one evening
It being in the month of May,
    A mother and her daughter
    I spied along my way.
As she sat down in public
To the milking of her cow
Saying "I will and I must get married,
For the humor is on me now."
    2.
" Oh shut up you silly young girl
    And hold your sinful tongue!
It's time enough to get married
For the next ten years to come."
    The daughter shook her shoulders
And she milked away her cow
Saying "I will and I must get married
For the humour is on me now."
