- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The hammer broke
The head in pieces flew
The inside was inferior
While the outside seemed quite new
The handle now is all that's left
Since all the rest have fled
So now my friends to make amends
Please send me out another headThis man bought a hammer in Granard many years ago. He broke the head of the hammer with the first stroke and he sent into Granard for a new head. - In the townland of Bawn 2 miles from Drumlish (Co. Longford) there is a "Holy Well" in Tom Quinns field. This well is not simular to the other "Holy Wells". It is situated on a hill-side. The well consists of a stone 12" in diameter with a hole (1" in diameter) in the centre. It is covered with an oval shaped stone somewhat bigger than a swan's egg. It never goes dry.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
