  2. In the townland of Bawn 2 miles from Drumlish (Co. Longford) there is a "Holy Well" in Tom Quinns field. This well is not simular to the other "Holy Wells". It is situated on a hill-side. The well consists of a stone 12" in diameter with a hole (1" in diameter) in the centre. It is covered with an oval shaped stone somewhat bigger than a swan's egg. It never goes dry.
