- The white rabbit was supposed to be seen for 80 years in the Protestant Church. It could be seen at 11 o'clock at night. It would come down the hill and go to James Keegan's yard where there was an old table standing at the door.
It would sit on the table for a while and then go up Water Lane. Then he would go round the backs of the garden and round the school.
It is about 30 years since he was last seen. - The barrack gates still open wide
The steeds prance in once more
The gates are shut and all is still
The midnight ride is o'er,
But old men say that trouble great.
Comes swiftly on our lands.
Whenever the headless horseman drives
The coach of Captain Bland.- Collector
