  1. Once upon a time horses used to gallop round a fort in Coolarty and little men dressed in red on their backs. Every one was afraid of them because if they met anyone they would bring him away.
    There was a house near the fort owned by Hugh Smith, and they used to take milk out of it and make bread in it also. If the fire was quenched when they went in they would break everything in the house.
