    Immediately after this storm came a beautiful dry warm summer such as was never experienced since nor for many years previous to the storm. The snow refreshed the ground and cleared and purified the air so that the result was people were free from epidemics or contagious diseases, and people young and old enjoyed a glorious and healthy summer the following year.
