- Kill Kenna is the name given to an old church yard situated in the Bog of Bracklyn. Bracklyn Bog is situated on the East side of the Parish of Delvin.KillKenna church yard is about one mile from the public road, on the right hand's side leading from Bracklyn to Ballivor. This is a very ancient burial ground. Nothing remains of the old church except some scattered stones, where the the walls once stood. The surrounding fence which is made from sods and stone is in some places broken. This protecting fence is circular, but at the present time is falling to ruins. The old church is supposed to have been one of the first churches consecrated by St Patrick, according to the Laws of the R. C. Church.Tradition tells us that on midnight on every Christmas Eve. a bell is heard to ring and a funeral proceeds around the old church and disappears into the churchyard.
