    When a person is milking a cow he shakes holy water around the cow before he begins and says "God bless the cow". They light a "Blessed candle" while milking a newly calved cow.
    The name used to call the ducks is "Wheat Wheat", and for the hens "Cioc Cioc", and for the turkeys "bias bias".
    There was a famous race horse in Bellinter in the year 1885. It was owned by Mr Preston who was the landlord in Bellinter. His daughter Miss Preston did a pencil drawing of him and gave it to my grand-father. The horse's name was Harkaway.
    Our cows names are Money, Freda, Olinn, Duibin, Tidy, Bainin and Doreen. Whatever day a calf is born he gets his name from the first in which the day is spent.
