  1. The "hauling home" took place a month after the wedding.
    The bride does not return to her home until a month after the wedding.
    They used to return from a wedding in carriages and it was usual custom to race against each other.
    It is said that a carriage was returning from a wedding in Bellinter House. It was racing against the other carriages. It fell into the Poll Mor (a hole on the side of the road near Bellinter).
    The horses and men were drowned. The remains were discovered not so long ago by men who were repairing the road.
