  1. It is the custom for the Bride to go to church by the longest route.
    The groom should be already in the church awaiting the Bride.
    It is also the custom for the Bridesmaid, and groomsman to stand Sponsor for the first baby.
    After the marriage ceremony two or three of the guests run a race to the Bride's house where they procure a bottle of refreshments with which they run back to treat the Bridal party. The bride then throws the bottle on a stone. If it is well broken she will have luck, but if she misses things will not turn out so well.
    Unvited guests come disguised to the wedding and share in the good things.
    If they are not well received they do some mischief.
    The bride goes to her new home about 11 p.m But the dance & song continues until
