  1. One day a hare and a graneog met. "I am faster than you" said the hare to the graneog, "I bet you are not" said the graneog. "We will have a trial" said the hare.
    "Do you see that pole five fields away."
    "I do" said the graneog. "Well said the hare. "Which ever of us is there first will win."
    Then the race began.
    With a couple of swift bounds the hare was at the end of one of the fields,
    He looked back and saw the ganeog far behind.
    "I am the fool" he said to himself for running so fast and the ganeog so far behind, I will go out to this field and rest myself until he comes up"
