    Cures for Common Ailments
    (a) Whooping Cough.
    (1) The person affected is to go before a man driving a white horse and ask for a remedy .The remedy suggested by the driver if carried out to the letter is supposed to effect the cure in a short time.
    It is on record that the remedy once suggested by an individual who was not in the best humour was :-
    Bainne cinn circe
    Tré adharca na muice
    Agus cleite ag cait dá suathadh
    (2)The milk left after a ferret has been fed is suggested as a second remedy
    (3)The affected person being put three times under a donkey's body.
    (b) Yellow Jaundice:-
    Get some wood from the bamberry tree and boil the wood in water for some time and give the water to the patient.
    (c) St Anthony's Fire :-
    Get a drop of Walsh's blood that is blood from any member of the Walsh family and write with the blood the persons name and surname round the affected part.This prevents spreading and eventually cures the disease.
