kiln is full. The fire at the bottom heats the stones and sets fire to the colm and gradually spreads to the very top. The fire is kept going for a few days and at the end of the time the stones are sufficiently red or burned. Then the fire is let out and the lime falls through the iron bars and can be taken out.
We have to send to Castlecomer in the County Kilkenny when we want colm and then it is send on my rail.
