  1. There was once a man living in Liscarroll whose name was O'Grady. He was an old pensioner, and on one Friday morning he went into the post office for his pension. Mr Corbett gave it to him. A second man came in and they were talking about The Great War. O'Grady said "where is the war going on now" and Mr Corbett said "I would give anything to have a mind like him".
