  1. The local fairs are held in Kinsale. They are usually held in towns or villages. The buyers formerly came around to the crossroads or to the farmers' houses to buy the cattle. This is seldom done now a-days.
    Fairs were held in most villages in olden days. These fairs have now been discontinued in several villages because there were no buyers in the district. There are no local traditions of fairs held on hills in the neighbourhood of cemetries or castles in this district.
