- The wild birds that are to be found in our district are the swallws the robin the snips the wood-cock's and the black-bird. The cuckoos and the swallows migrate. They come to Ireland in the beginning of Summer, if they come early it is a sign of a good Summer and if they come late it is the sign of a bad summer. They leave in the end of Summer.
