  1. The methods of doing work recently are a great deal changed than that of former times. The methods we have now are not as tiresome or as slavish as long ago. Now people are so lazy, if they can't get an easy way to do a thing they will not do it at all. Long ago there were men in the country-men that every task they had to undergo they went bravely and did it. Now we have pale weak fellows. If an old man told them of the work they did long ago they would think he was taking leave of his senses.
