- Very few travelling people call to our homes, but the people that come have been doing so for many years. Some of them are poor but the most of them are not. Most of them sell small articles, people sometimes buy from them, the articles are very dear. They obtain their supplies at the Coal Quay in Cork.
When they come they are not generally welcome They come one day and remain that night and sell next day and go in the evening. They sleep on the roadside in a caravan. Some have food with them but(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
