  1. Relics of the Penal days
    11th January, 1937
    In Loughane, Derryulk, Tulla, Co Clare, there is a stone known in the surrounding districts as the "Sagart". It is about six feet high, ten feet long and six foot wide. The is stone steps cut into its side to make it easy to climb to the top of the rock but now the steps are worn at the corners and so make it dangerous for climbers. In the middle of the rock is the print of a Saint's foot. Under the rock
