    4th April 1938.
    About a half a mile from my house there lived an old woman who kept a shop about fifty years ago. She used to buy the eggs from the neighbours of this district and they used to buy groceries from her. She used to pack the eggs in a large basket and carry them to Limerick on her back. She would fill the basket with groceries and other things and carry them back to her shop
