  1. In olden times people used to put up crosses in the night before St Brigid's Eve. The crosses used to be put up in every house all over the parish. The people put up holly all round their houses at christmas times. The people put up palm in side the rafters of their houses on palm Sunday. They take down the old palm and burn it before they put up the new palm. He people throw flowers on the door step on May morning in honour of the Blessed Virgin.
