    There is a Round Tower in the graveyard at Aughagower chapel. It is in the parish of Aughagower and county of Mayo. It is the only Round Tower in the district. It was built by the people about ten hundred

  2. St Patrick's House

    St Patricks House was built in the year four hundred and thirty two. It was built with mortar and stones. It was about eighteen feet high and twenty feet long. It was built since St Patrick came to Ireland. The man's land it is built in is John Grady's of Aughagower. There is only one gable remaining and you can see the track of the doors and of his knees where he was kneeling when he was praying.
