  1. Long ago the people used make a churning between sunset and sunrise on May Eve. They used get an ash branch and make a gad out of it and put it on the churn for fear the fairies would take the butter.
    A woman who lived in this district milked another mans cow's on May Morn before the sun got up. There was a man named Tom Duffy. He brought butter and woman back to the man by certain power.
