  1. In a field called Garrdha Phaitín in the town-land of Tamnach Shlinneán there was a two couple barn for a school built by the people out of stone.
    Richard Braite, Pat Hastings, and Master Gibbons taught there. Master Gibbons was a national teacher in Coill-Mór first but, he grew too proud and he was put out of it. He became a wandering teacher then.
