  1. This is the way St. Stephens Day is observed in this district. First a band of boys gather together and they cathc the wren on the day before St. Stephens Day. Then the next day they turn their coats inside out, and they bring the wren and a melodion with them and they go from house to house. They play a tune outside each house on the melodion and they recite the following poem::
