- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)locally do not wear clothes made at home. The cloth bought in shops is used for making all the clothes nowadays. I do not know any old sayings, except the old well knowing saying "it takes nine tailors to make a man."
Shirts are not made in the homes nowadays but long ago they were all home-made. The type of cloth then used was chiefly flannelette, cotton and linen.
The thread is not spun in the home nowadays. There are socks and stocking knitted in the homes locally and my mother knits all the stockings and jumpers required by the family. There are no spinning wheels in use in this district nowadays but there are one or two which have been preserved by people whose people used them in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
