   Near this townland there is another lake named Loc Phuca and a lot of stories have been told about it. There is one which concerns a foal. This foal came out of the lake it is said and a man nearly caught him and reared him. One day however this man had the horse in a cart and as he was passing the (-) he stood to rest his horse. When he stood a horse put its head up out of the lake and began braying in the lake and the moment the horse on the road heard the braying he broke his tyings and away into the lake and was never seen again. It was said the animal that neighed in the lake was the foal's mother.
