    was parish priest in Killimer at that time. He asked Mr Vandeleur to let the two girls free. After this they lived in a timber house.
    The women went around collecting money to form a brigade to fight the landlords. Two women went in each parish one took the money and the other had a sheet of paper and a pencil to write down the names of those that paid money.

  2. The local Landlords were Mr. Keane, Mr. O'Donnell, Mr. Studdert and Mr. Vandeleur. Vandeleur was the only one that was looked upon as bad. The old Mr. Vandeleur was nicer than his son and that family was here for about 100 years.
