- In 1929 there was a big rain storm. Up in the mountain there was a lot of water under the ground. Now this water burst up and started an earthquake. About three acres of bog sliddered down the mountain side. When it was going off it let a big explosion and some of the water ran down the mountain side. It is now called the mountain slip.

- This fire occoured in Snugborough bog almost 25 years ago. The fire started by a coal that set a ditch on fire. All the neighbours turned out late at night to save their turf from being burned. It burned a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
