  1. One time Correagh Mills owed by Patrick Brady went on fire. The kiln-man put oats to dry on the sheets and fell asleep. The oats went on fire while he was asleep and the roof being a tatched one ignited also. It was quenched by many people with many bucked of water but not until after the oats had been badly damaged.
    In the years 1847 and 1848 the famine was in Ireland, and the people were dying in thousands each day from starvation.
    On the 14th of August 1914 there was a terrible thunder storm. Some time before that there was a thunder storm, and Mrs. Gillick Copponeagh was milking a cow, when she was getting up from milking, the cow fell dead being killed by lightning.
    There was a great wind in 1893 that lasted for weeks.
