The man asked him how would he do it and he said "I would go down to the bottom and make a good straw rope of sprit and I would bring it home and tie her head to her horn with it and then she would have manners."
- One time a man lost a calf, and he went out to look for him. As he was going along he met a man who he asked did he find a stray calf along the road. The man "No, but I passed two calves about a mile from here."
"That is no use" said the man "my calf is all in one.
