- Two old men lived in this district long ago. They caused a lot of trouble and they persecuted the people. My grandfather used to say that they stole cows and sheep from the people and the women had to make cakes for them. At last the people could stand it no longer. All the men gathered and fought against them. They were supposed to live in Fairymount Fort and it was believed that they belonged to the fairies. The men could not kill them,
