   He fought at Cassano, she is proud of his glory,

   Yet sadly she sings 'Siubhal Arú!' all the day

   Oh! Come, Come my darling, Come home to Finea

   Lord Clara on the field of Ramillies is charging

   Before the Sassanach squadrons enlarging

   Behind him the 'Cravats' their 'Sessions' display

   And bleeding rides Fergus and shouts for Finea.

   On the slopes of Lough 'Juodine' the Fenchmen are flying,

   Lord Clare and his squadron the foe still defying,

   Out-numbered and wounded retreat in array,

   And lying, bleeds Fergus and thinks of Finea.
