    Potatoes are grown on our farm. Every year there are two acres grown. My father prepares the ground. First of all the ground has to be ploughed and harrowed for drills. Then the potatoes have to be cut in two halves, and then the manure has to be spread on the drills before the potatoes are dropped. Then the drills have to be closed with a plough and horses. After some time the potatoes have to be moulded with a shovel. After another while the potatoes have to be sprayed with sulphate of copper and lime. This has to be done three times otherwise the growing crop will be no good and the blight will come on them.
    When they are blossomed some people begin to dig them. First they have a spade or some
