Thomas Maguire lived in Teemore in the County Fermanagh. He was a very strong man. He lifted James Finlay a man of twelve stone who lived in Ballyconnell on one hand. When he had him high up in the air he let James fall on the ground. He broke his leg and was lame for the rest of his life. At an auction one day in Ballyconnell they tied his legs to the door of the house for sale. He gave one pull and pulled out the door. He was on a visit one night in a neighbour's house. The man of the house told him when he was leaving to pull over the door. Thomas took hold of the door and pulled it over the road and left it lying along the side of the road.
