   As for the old age pensioners he attended every call.
   He laboured hard and willing to console them one and all.
   He controlled the cause with God's own laws.
   In justice he did seek.
   To procure for more than forty-nine this five bob a week.
   The children in the schools would watch to see him come around.
   For on his arrival in the school you would not see a frown.
   With book in hand they greet the man whom God to us has sent.
   For when he left the parish even the children did lament.
   So now young man I'll not prolong I'll close my farewell line.
   But one thing I will ask of you is to always bear in mind,
   The general class and quality of that young gentleman,
   Who recently was sent from us to isolated Glan
   But if ever there is a vacancy or selection
