  1. I live in Johnstown, in the parish of Tinryland and Benekerry, and in the Barony of Carlow. There are twenty houses in this townland, and one hundred and twenty people are living there now. There are two thatched houses, three houses covered with iron roofs, and the remainder are slated. There are three men and two women over seventy.
