Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Kilcolman was founded by St Colman who had his monastery nearby. This church was the only place of worship for the Catholics of the district till Cromwell's soldiers came in and burned it to the ground. The Catholics then went into another house, which they turned into a place of worships, the ruins of this house are still to be seen a short distance from the other.
    The Protestants rebuilt the burned down church and used it to perform their own religious duties, till the year 1854 when they removed to Cree Church which is about half a mile away. Before leaving it the minister at that time a Mr. Corry got a wall built all around the graveyard which was up to that time in an open field. Always whether Catholics or Protestants hold it both parties held their ow burying ground one at either end.
