    (This poem of Laurence Gahan's was censored by the Government and he was compelled then to change his pen name from "Wood-side Cottage" to Scollagh Gap." as his poems could not be printed under the former pen name.)

    Is plundering once more.
    Her bloody hands are grasping
    The wealth of Africa's shore.
    The lion's jaws are opened,
    His greedy dart fire,
    His every power is rallied
    To gain his brute desire

    But see! the noble victim.
    A stranger - still to fear
    Attacks the brutal giant
