- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The subjects that were taught in the school were Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.
They wrote with a quill and made their own ink. There was an old spelling book to be had about twenty years ago, that was used in this school. It bore the name of Moses Doyle he was a pupil of this school. The timber of this school is to the good still. There was an old man named Michael Curran who used to teach night school. He used to stop three nights in Doyle's and two nights at Murphy's. The subjects that were taught were English. They knew no Irish. The children had to bring half a crown every quarter.- Bailitheoir
