- The following occurred back in 1828Three men - two brothers Kinsella and one Sinnott in the late Autumn of that year set out for Wexford from Bvaldon in a fishing cot with a cargo of barley in sacks. When they arrived at Wexford Har. the sea had become rough and they were afraid to venture through the dangerous shoal water.A schooner Love in sight making for Wexford + offered to tow them in for a gallon of whiskey and it was refused. They said they'd give the captain of the schooner an ounce of tobacco.
They put the cot about + made for home the sea getting worse every minute. Just as theywere opposite B.valdon Gap their boat was capsized in sight of all the neighbours, their bodies were washed ashore + their graves + date of incident are in Bvaldon Graveyard.
