- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)name of Brady of Cooldoney was evicted by McCormack. McCormack came to the house and he put Brady and his wife and children out on the road. His wife and children were sent to the workhouse where they died in a short time afterwards. In the year 1881 or 1882 the landlords lost possession of the land.There was another landlord of the name of Butler in Abbeylara. He was a good landlord, he never evicted anyone.This was told to me by Mrs. Masterson, Derragh, Abbeylara. Aged 72 years.
