    Clothes made Locally
There are no tailors in the district now but there is one dressmaker who makes clothes for children and grown up girls but the men got them made in Granard with a tailor.
They made the clothes in their one home they do not go around from house to house as in former times.
There were tailors in my district long ago and their names were the Late Dan Polard and Jonny Kirelin and they used to go around from house to house making clothes. It is said Dan Polard was only 2 stone and a half in weight he used to go up in the sleeve of the coat when sewing the linings.
The tailors do not stock cloth.
Cloth is not spun or woven locally and the people do not wear clothes woven or spun locally.
The types of clothes that are worn are serge, tweed, cordoroy, melten etc.
"I went into a tailors shop
To borrow a lone of a needle,
The tailor came out and hit me a clout And pop goes the weazle"
