  1. A True Story
This story was told to Luke Blake, Killasonna N.S. By Jas.Dun Leary
In this town-land there is a big house called Killasonna House. In times gone by mass was said here every Sunday and there were many men who never went to any other mass except there. Some cruel land lords lived there also. Here is a story about one of them.
Once one of these land lords was evicting a poor widow and her family. The poor children were hungry and were crying. There was a pot of stirabout on the fire for them to eat. The mother begged of the landlord not to put them out until they had eaten and said she to him "don't you see them all crying". "What do I care when my own laughs" said he and he put them out.
When he went home that evening he own daughter was laughing and they could not stop her from laughing. Very soon she died still laughing.
