- The people had three meals a day in olden times. The meals they had were potatoes.
The meals were eaten about ten o'clock in the mornings, about one o'clock in the day, and about seven o'clock in the evening.
Some of the people used to work in the mornings before having their meals.
Milk was also drunk. Oat-meal bread was eaten. Meat of any kind was very seldom used.
People didn't eat late at night.
Wooden mugs were used before cups became common.
